What goes into a couple wrapped
Story of Us reads your chat export — your whole history, not a slice of it — and finds the patterns inside. Here’s what your wrapped can include — everything below is something the keepsake already does today:
- Your story in numbers. How many texts the two of you actually sent — the headline stat, counted free right on your device.
- Your busiest month. The month you couldn’t stop talking to each other.
- Your busiest hour. The hour of the day your conversation always came alive.
- Your most-used words and phrases. The words you didn’t know you kept repeating.
- Your pet names. The ones it noticed on its own — no list to fill in.

Privacy, plainly
The export itself never leaves your device — it's read right there in your browser, the same way a photo opens on your computer. To write the handful of captions that need real words (your busiest year, your first exchange, the phrase you didn't know you repeated), we send a much smaller slice to our server: your most-used words and phrases, counts and rhythms (who texts more, your streaks, your busiest hour), and a very small handful of sample messages — your first few texts and your most recent.
